A creative project built around underground techno, physical sound, audio-reactive visuals, lighting and the atmosphere that connects them.
FREQ//CTRL was created from a simple idea: electronic music should be experienced, not just played.
We bring together underground techno, sound-system culture, lighting, visual art and technology to create spaces with their own identity. The aim is not to decorate a club night. It is to shape the whole environment around the music — from the pressure of the low end to the movement of light and the imagery on screen.
Our work moves between events, DJ performance, visual production and technical experimentation. We build, test and develop much of the experience ourselves, allowing the sound and visual language of FREQ//CTRL to evolve together rather than exist as separate parts.
We are interested in the darker, deeper and more hypnotic edges of techno: music with space, tension, repetition and purpose. The same thinking carries through to our visual work — restrained when it needs to be, intense when the moment demands it, and always connected to the room.
We value character over trends and substance over hype. The music comes first, with programming rooted in the culture that made us want to do this in the first place.
Sound, visuals, lighting and space should work together. Every element has a purpose: to pull people further into the music rather than distract from it.
FREQ//CTRL is also a laboratory. We experiment with technology, TouchDesigner, audio analysis, lighting control and new ways of making a room react to sound in real time.
Two DJs, two different perspectives, one shared direction. FREQ//CTRL grew from years around electronic music and a desire to create something independent rather than simply fit into an existing format.
Part of the musical and operational foundation of FREQ//CTRL, helping shape the project from the booth to the room around it.
DJ, producer and visual developer focused on the interaction between techno, audio-reactive imagery, lighting and immersive production.
Not a trend. Not a template. A platform we can keep developing — one transmission at a time.
